Learning materials for the rest of December and the beginning of January and school supplies are available in the College Square lobby, for families of in-person students who were unable to pick up on Wednesday, December 9.  Please feel welcome to come to College Square any time during the week, Monday-Friday, between 8am-4pm.  Please get the envelope labeled with your child's name and a grade-level supply kit for your child.

If you are quarantining, please use our no-contact pick-up.  Park at the main entrance on College Ave.  Please call the office (724 774 0250 ext. 4809 or ext. 4800) to let us know you are there.  A staff member will set your child’s materials outside the door and you can exit your car to get them.

We are currently operating in a Remote Learning model.  

Please check your child’s Schoology page, beginning at 9am.  Materials and directions for the day will be posted there.  Synchronous learning opportunities will continue in first and second grades - refer to the schedule your child's teacher has shared with you. Our kindergarten classes will introduce some synchronous learning opportunities.

Parents & Guardians, please wear face coverings during arrival and dismissal. The PA Dept of Health Order includes outdoor spaces, when distancing may not be able to be maintained.  Staff may ask for you to slide your mask down, so we can identify you before releasing your child.

Please monitor your child/children for symptoms of covid prior to coming to school every day.  The list of symptoms were sent home on the first day in the health packet and are linked below. If your child has any of these symptoms, do not send them to school until discussing this with the nurse. Siblings who do not have symptoms but live in the same house must also stay home. All students who have symptoms must be cleared by a doctor before returning.

Also, please note that all students must be wearing a mask before getting on a bus. It is a good idea to keep several spare masks in your child's backpack.

7-Eleven
Thanks to a generous grant from our local 7-Eleven, we were able to purchase character education and behavior intervention materials.  The Social Thinking curriculum will be used with all of our Kindergarten Students.  Additional Social Thinking and Flexible Thinking materials will be used in small group interventions, K-2.

Buddy Bench
Thanks to PTO and College Square parent leadership and generous financial support from community business and private family donations, we have been able to purchase a replacement Buddy Bench for our playground!  To foster friendship and communication skills, students who need a friend to play with on the playground can sit on the Buddy Bench.  Peers are quick to invite them to play with them.

 

The project was funded by almost 20 small businesses and friends and families of the school.  Our appreciation to Keystone Ridge Designs in Butler, PA, for providing the bench at a reduced price to help to support this project at our school!
